Dear Listers,
We have finalized the participants for the HONOR CEREMONY which will be held
on
Friday Evening October 11, 2013 at the Dream Park, following the Reception -
We have representatives, active and Veterans, from the Army, Navy, Air
Force & Marines with both active duty and retired
Military Working Dogs. RAMPO RESCUE DOG ASSOCIATION, NJ RESCUE & RECOVERY
K-9 UNIT &
SEARCH & RESCUE DOGS OF PA will represent Search & Rescue Organizations.
Many of these handlers
worked 9/11 and these teams continue to save lives and recover throughout
the States as well as foreign countries
undergoing traumatic disasters.
Also joining us is an example of an Assistance Dog who alerts to a physical
condition, and 1 maybe 2 Seeing Eye German Shepherd Dogs.
k-9 Law Enforcement and US Drug Enforcement teams will also be presented.
We have every indication this event will receive press coverage. One of
our main goals is to PROMOTE our very versatile
& courageous breed. A very good way to oppose Anti Dog Legislation. No
other breed serves our
County so well, in so many various ways. Something that should make us very
proud indeed.
There has been some misinformation "out there" about the distance from the
Host Hotel to the
Show Grounds, Dream Park. It is very close maybe 8 minutes with no highway
travel. Also the Victory
Dinner is within reasonable driving distance - 20 minutes on a Saturday.
Philadelphia Airport is also
an easy drive. Our Hotel rates are very, very reasonable - up to 4 in a
room for
same as one or two - less than the last few years - food cost are more ,
overall it averages out.
The Victory Dinner is a plated dinner, full service, no standing in long
lines. The Catering Department
at this Hotel is 4 star , the food is beautifully presented and
outstanding in quality & flavor.
A Constant Contact will be sent out again before the National - we may
extend time line for making
Dinner reservations.
