Quite agree with Mike.  Surely our judges should be able to judge more thanten 
dogs per hour.  However, I am always for oral critiques in the ring for 
theplacers if it explains the reasons for the awards, not simply the virtues 
ofthe dogs;  let's face it, they are all good, but why did # 3 go before #2 , 
etc. ?This is what a good judge should be able to explain. Nor do I want to 
hearnegative comments; they have no place in a setting such as our national.

We made it, and were flying probably past Nancy and Steve yesterday ;-)
That national as always is quite the event, a new Grand Victor and 
Victrix have been crowned and many happy select owners(34). Wonderful 
seeing all our friends that we seem only to catch up with once a year.

Thoughts;
Can we shorten it up with some logistics, say done by 5ish each day
1) I think we should go back to two rings for the puppy classes.
2) Critiques should be written or orally delivered at the Victory Dinner 
not during the show
3) Create a separate ring for workouts while the presentations are going on

Consider two additional judges if the AKC would allow;
1) to perform the temperament test(should also be a qualified 
temperament examiner)
2) to perform the individual exam(teeth/testicals/etc)
Both done in separate ring(s).

Quite controversial I'm sure, but would greatly speed up the show.
