[ SHOWGSD-L ] Re: "National" Herding Trial

For my 2 cents having gotten PTs at 2 Nationals and hoping to be ready
for the Started Course by 2009, my thoughts are that it is not the
location that may be the problem, but the scheduling of Herding a full
week before Specials judging. In 2000 in Ohio Taz got her PT in 2
trials, and I went home, regrouped and returned to Columbus with my
friend on Wednesday. We missed some classes but she had a kid in school
to consider. In 2005 we went to NC did herding and came home. There was
no way I could have been gone 11 days or more for a dog show, especially
when my part was done the first 2 days. If the Herding Trials had been
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday I would have stayed. The problem with that
scenario is I don't know if it would cause a loss of all-breed entries.
