Question what does by-laws have to do with this? I thought with the new
board they were going to keep Members abreast to situations before they
happened? Going behind closed doors to change by a vote on
such an important issue that affects all members is not keeping the membership
involved.
The members are affected by this the Review is the Heart of the GSDCA without it
it is just another club. It is not just the members that are affected by this
it is the GSD
and it's future. Please Explain the reason this went behind closed doors.

Unfortunately
Linda, as a past Board member, I would have thought you
understood our by-laws.

Since Kathleen was editor, I
advertised 4, maybe 5 times (after not putting an ad in for
years.) Back to NO ADS FOR ME. I will advertise in the
Cardi magazine. The club is friendlier, the knives are
blunt. The membership is heard.

This
was done in closed session. I did ask leadership on several
occasions in the past week if The Review Editor position was
on the agenda. No reply.
I
can tell you first hand that Kathleen was very dedicated to
improving The Review. The number of ads and articles
improved drastically from 2016 to 2017. She went to our
printer and got our rates reduced. The cost per page was
lowered. Kathleen worked very hard to include articles
that would be of interest to a broad
audience.
I worked
closely with Kathleen in the past year, meaning she always
asked how to improve and how to promote. She was
professional and dedicated to making The Review a success.
She responded to members calls and emails.
One only needs to look at a The
Review Covers spring of 2016 compared to 2017 to see marked
changes. Really, take a look.
It was a good run. Now we move on
and back to our former editor.

Facebook is blowing up with news that
Kathleen Riley was fired as the editor of The Review. If
this is true, WHY? Adding insult to injury, supposedly the
old Review editor, Susan Casey has the job. Again, WHY?
I want hard facts.
