I absolutely love this response.
We all know the old story of the Corporate President being interrupted by
the secretary, telling him that Lindbergh was going to attempt to solo
around the world. She then asked if he had heard her because he did not
respond. He looked up coolly and said, "An individual can accomplish
anything. Let me know when a committee does it."
That's why a central economy does not work in a free market world, why we
put out more effort when it is something we want to do and why what Evan is
doing will work! Congratulations of moving this forward and getting it done.
Now file your papers - we are going to start your presidential campaign
right away!

Folks. I am doing this. I am interested in conformation. I am not a club, I
am not a committee. I have another life, and I am not trying to please
everyone.
A few years back I wanted to video tape some of the giants of our breed. I
was thinking of Joan and Fran Ford, Ernie Loeb, Gloria and Cappy, Dave
Rinke, Bob Penny and others. I planned to do it on my own, at my expense,
and
on my time.
I was convinced to bring in a couple of other people. They then went to the
board and got a grant of money. Then they proposed a bunch of "giants" I
had never heard of. I withdrew so that they could do it how they wanted,
and nothing happened.
I will decide with my two board members what we are doing. It will be for
the conformation winner at the national. We may modify that, but at this
point, I need to limit what I can do. In the future others can go in a
different direction. After I die, the two remaining members can do
something
different.
How long can that be?
This is why I did not propose the GSDCA do this. I don't want decisions
by committee.
Whoever we offer the money to, can always decline.

How about including high score junior in obedience, rally, agility and
herding? Those kids do not usually have classes of their own. They have

compete against the adults. It would be a way to give them reconnection in
their sport.
