In this multi-media, high profile,instant information, instant gratification,
face-book, Ipod American Idol society...we have lost focus of just who role
models should be....my role model was the man who kept me from being hungry and
kicked my butt when I behaved in a manor outside of his rules and
regulations...Vick is an entertainer who performs his job for a multi-billion
dollar corporation, The National Football League....kids do look up to
athletes, actors, singers etc.....and there lies the problem...we tend to
glorify these folks because they are rich and famous...my new role model is
that guy who landed a plane on the Hudson river...Mike Vick?...he's just a rich
guy who fought dogs and plays football....Ed Hill
