(in response to the latest email I received with someone asking about leaving a
SIX WEEK Yorkipoo pup in a crate during the day)

If I hear ONE MORE PERSON:
1. PURCHASING a puppy under the age of 8 weeks (illegal in the state of
   Massachusetts.)
2. purchasing a puppy from someone who doesn't ask "Is someone
going to be home with this puppy for most of the day?"
3. Asking me about leaving a PUPPY in a crate so they can GO TO
   WORK!
4. SELLING anyone a puppy under the age of 8 weeks or selling
any living creature to the first moron that shows up at the door
with the cash without doing SOME sort of background/home check or
vet reference I am going to LOSE it! An 8 week old puppy is NO DIFFERENT than
an 8 week old INFANT. Neither one can attend to its own needs. Both need to be
fed, kept in a clean enviornment, and need human contact when
they are frightened. Would someone take their BABY home from the hospital,
put it in a nice warm crib and GO TO WORK expecting that baby to wait
all day for food or an opportunity to relieve itself? That would be considered
child abuse! Why is it different because the infant has 4 feet instead of 2?
Why do people continually take offense to comparing puppies to children? They
are certainly as dependant!
When you breed dogs you have a moral obligation to care for those lives
that you bring into the world UNTIL THEY DIE. They did not ask to be brought
here. The dam did not ask to be impregnanted. We play God; and as such, they
become our responsibility. If the owners cannot keep them (for whatever
ridiculous reason) it is our responsibility as the breeder to assist with
finding an alternative home enviornment..and if that fails, to take the dog
back ourselves until a suitable home is found.
Sorry...had to let it out or I would explode.
