I'm the "LIST" from whom Penny needed "protection." All I did was display a
human frailty; I made a mistake. It was rectified IMMEDIATELY and I fully
admitted that I was wrong, but that wasn't enough, so here goes again...
I was Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. I don't breed Whites and I had forgotten that the
"E" locus controls White in the GSD and the recessive allele is "e." When a
dog inherits two of the recessive alleles, i.e. "ee," the dog will be White
despite still having the "A" locus gene, which controls color, in place.
Therefore, a White dog is Genetically a "standard color", but Phenotypically
White. The White dog when bred to a standard color dog can produce offspring
that are standard color.
I'm sorry that Penny feels the need to hunt for the White bitch's pedigree. I
need no convincing. Penny's word is good enough for me. My apologies to Penny
and the List for making Penny feel like she was being attacked.

think; Iâ?Tll try to find it. The addendum to the story is this: the
bitchâ?Ts owner dearly wanted a black and tan to keep, but ironically all pups
were sable. As The Rolling Stones once sang, â?oYou canâ?Tt always get what
you want.â?
