I've been microchipping my dogs for close to 25 years now. Periodically I'll
get a call from a animal control or a shelter or rescue telling me they've got
one of my dogs in their possession. Luckily I've been able to connect dog and
owner back together. Two weeks ago I got a call from Alameda AC (CA) that they
had one of my males. So when I got home from work I retrieved the info as to
who I sold the dog too. The AC called the owner who told them he had rehomed
the dog and did NOT know who too (contrary to my contract!). Anyway, as he was
a stray now he had to stay for the specified time now, hopeful that his new
owner would look for him. I told them that if no owner showed up that I would
be more than happy to get him. So last week I brought Nemo home after a 256
mile round trip.
Nemo is a three year old neutered male, sable with a very sweet laid back
personality. Ok with other dogs (male or female, large or small) ok with cats.
Been around my goats, horses, chickens and llama without showing aggression. He
seemed a bit stand off /cautious with my adult son but loved his wife. He was
good with kids originally but haven't any around to test him on. Housebroken
and crate trained. Walks well on leash. He's going to be available and if
anyone knows someone looking for a special dog, please let me know. Anja
