Board members of all clubs are elected by the membership of the clubs. The
AKC has approved the By Laws of the GSDC of Atlanta and we have reference to
missed meeting by the Board Members.
"If any officer fails to attend three consecutive meeting of the Board of
Directors, the office shall be declared vacant."
It goes on to say that it can be waived by a majority vote of the Board, If
the office is declared vacant a new election will be held. Peg
That is very similar to what we had at one time,but we said with two
absences-- position vacated,and also could be reversed by 2/3 of the Board.
Many
Boards have that. I just can't tell you when ours was dropped. I hope the new
Board will reinstate it Helen
