This is absolutely correct. Please DO NOT take chances with Lyme or any
of the other tick bourne diseases. I came very close to losing my then 4
year old GSD to Ehrlichiosis almost 2 years ago. He also tested positive
for Rocky Mountain Spotted fever. When I got him to the vet school, his
temp was 106.2. No obvious symptoms until that night when I came home
and he wouldn't eat. My vet did blood work last summer and treated him
again as the titers were higher than the 2nd test (after treatment) at
the vet school. Anytime my boy isn't acting right, we immediately
consider it may be related to the Ehrlichiosis or RMSF. I know quite a
few people who have treated their dogs for various tick bourne diseases.
All the dogs have survived, but several had to be treated more than one
time. Also, my vet treats for at least 3-4 weeks. In my research, I
found the site noted below. There is also a page that lists subtle
symptoms of the disease(s).

There is also a SNAP test made by Idexx...not as accurate as the other
test, but much cheaper. For more info check the Idexx site below.

> Get Lymes test done IMMEDIATELY. This disease can KILL them if not
treated IMMEDIATELY.
