The Kentuckiana Cluster *did* ask all exhibitors to stay outside of
Louisville. The hotels around the show site are hurting--and they are
screaming! The Kentucky State Fair Board is also hurting and is also making
noise. They've had 2 shows cancel, and a third that is reluctant to sign its
contract for 2008 (rabbits--which have found an alternate site). The
Louisville Metro Council has publicly said it will make "major changes"
(much different than its previous promise of "tweaking"). The first lawsuit
has the County Attorney's office very upset, and the second is going to be
filed as soon as the complaint is finished. (It's a long complaint).

As to the 2008 show, the Louisville Kennel Club has to make that decision,
and it has to be made by a vote of the members. There is a faction that does
not want to move the show--Dianne O'Regan leads that bunch (she is the
former Show Secretary who joined this list long enough to tell everyone the
show was not moving). She thinks the ordinance has been blown out of
proportion. Interestingly, her supporters *all* live outside of Louisville.

One thing you all can do is e-mail Dennis Melear at dmelear932@xxxxxxx and
tell him why you supported the Cluster this year, and if you would support
it in Louisville again next year if it was held in Louisville. He needs to
hear from exhibitors.
