About 10 years ago my husband read an article about cattle calving during
the day if you fed them late at night. Yup he and his brother just had to
try it. Did seem to help a little but not enough to off set the extra work
of a late night feeding.
When I was having puppies it was a given that the bitches would go into
labor about 9pm and have the first around ll pm and then I would be up all
night.
Only time they whelped during the day was when I was over loaded with dogs
to groom.
