Hi Ed and Letti
The final results are in from the spinal tap, and everything is normal.
They did get results today from one of the blood cultures. A different
bacteria has shown up, that is resistant to the Clamavox, but sensitive to
Baytril. Since this is the reverse of the previous blood culture, Teeka is
being kept on the two antibiotics for a while longer. They still have no idea
of the source of the original infection. Teeka is acting normal, and her
temperature is staying low, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that we won't
have a repeat. The vet said that if the fever occurs a third time, they'd be
looking at a milogram or M.R.I. That's where we stand for now. Thanks again
