My brother just called. Nassau County is in shambles - 400,000 subscribers
still without power.
No gas anywhere but plenty of food
NYU Hospital is re-opened, Bellevue still closed
They are worried about Wednesday's No'reaster
No cell service due to lost batteries, no gas for generators
Landlands coming back but 911 unable to reach many people with medical
emergencies
To dispel a rumour, ANYONE WHO WANTS TO WORK TO HELP - do not have to be union

My brother's electric runs UNDERGROUND - but all the substations in Nassua were
destroyed
