We have survived the earthquake and Hurricane Irene. We had mostly rain.
Wind wasn't too bad here in Fredericksburg. Now the sun is coming out. I
assume the plane will leave on time today.
The BOD voted yesterday on a conference call to rescind the motion passed
in July to make the Review bi-monthly. The Review will remain as it is
currently - size, format, and 11 issues. If you want more background
information on the Review recommendations, refer to the B & F portion of the
January minutes.
I suspect that some members of the Ex. Comm. will be criticizing me for
this disrespectful behavior as they did last Feb/Mar after the January
meeting but I think it is important for the membership to know this action on
the
Review.
I would really like everyone to also check the GSDCA web site and look at
the ad the GSDCA has placed in the memorial book for the 9/11 SAR Ceremony
and the bronze GSD sculpture we are helping to bring to the ceremony. Our
involvement came late in this project as we were not aware of what all was
going on.
I'm off for a little R & R in Verona, Italy (never been there - going to
see the opera Aida in the coliseum there - 3rd largest in Italy) then we
head to Nurnberg for official meetings with the SV and the Sieger Show. Back
after Labor Day. I am setting to no mail.
