Stormy is correct. I was there on Sunday. I did not actually see the incident
but was filled in that night and the next day on the actual event by another
photographer who witnessed the incident. Kit was bitten on the ear. The bite
tore her ear away from her head at the top of the ear. She was taken to the
hospital where she was stitched up. She took it all in stride but did not
return on Mon for photos. There was no discussion regarding Kit's insurance or
liablility or anything like that. That will be handled between Kit and the
dog's owner.
While it is admirable that folks want to help out, at this time cards and well
wishes would be much appreciated. Should there become a financial issue in the
future, that will be the time to help out. However, I would bet the owner will
do the right thing and Kit will be back to work soon.
I have many photos from Kit and she is a wonderful lady. I would be the first
in line to help her if I felt she would not be taken care of by the dog's
owners.
