Thought the information below would be helpful if any of you are interested
in donating to the relief efforts. Forwarded with permission from the
showgsd-l email list I belong to.

Kay Springer

There are many GSD people asking how they can help the dogs and dog people
suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. There are a number of
options, below are some I have pulled together, which are specific efforts
and resources manned by List and GSDCA members. Undoubtedy there are
others, but this is a start. Showgsd-l will be posting this information on
our web site, www.showgsd.org - We have donated all remaining funds from our
List Party raffle to the Gulf Coast Search and Rescue Team, to the GSDC of
Baton Rouge, the Tampa Bay GSD Rescue and to the Tibodaux First Assembly.

1 - GSDCA member and GSDCA Search and Rescue Committee Chair Barbie Balyeat
and her rescue group, the Gulf Coast Search & Rescue Team, are working in
the hurricane area, and are in desperate need of boots for their dogs' feet.
Please help ! There are 8 dogs on the team, all but one use size LARGE, one
uses size MEDIUM. You can help them by ordering boots from KV Vet Supply,
to be sent to Barbie's address via next day or second day air service. They
are called RUFF WEAR & they need LARGE in RED (team colors are RED & BLACK)
they have 8 dogs in need the only dog that wears something other then LARGE
is the MAL who will need a MEDIUM.

Barbie's address is: Barbie Balyeat 7300 Turner Road Long Beach, MS 39560
her cell # (it works sometimes but mostly doesn't is: 228-324-1367) Tell KV
