Over all I agree, there is no better dog than a German Shepherd Dog! That's
way it's the only dog I've owned after I lost my last Great Dane in 1974. 
It's like owning a BMW and then getting a Toyota Corolla!  Nice car but it
ain't a Bemer!  ( no, I don't have a BMW, I'm poor black and married!   I
could run for president!  When is Stormy coming home! She can control me!

I KNOW that our GSDs are far better in EVERY aspect than the BM!  What 
else --- do THEY DO?
I have mentioned to many people the truth that most breeds were developed by

one or more people on a hobby
basis but OUR MAX did not begin his breeding program until AFTER he retired 
from the military.  I feel that his
total devotion to doing that one thing, developing a dog that can DO MOST 
ANYTHING -- is why our GSDs can!
Ok, maybe SOME cops use the BMs, we do have many who depend on our splendid 
dogs every day!  Many have
actually become HEROES!   Seriously, how many write ups have you seen about 
the courage etc. of a BM??
I must say, it is nothing to be concerned about as our kids are able to DO 
IT ALL, it just depends upon the
PERSON TRAINING THIS WONDERFUL ONE!   Norma no L but in LOVE WITH ALL GSDs!
