Hallie McMullen and I have taken one junior handler under our wings. She
is so serious about handling GS's , works her dogs continually and grooms
them, too. She entered the show ring for the first time at our Specialty
a week ago dressed in a beautiful black suit, however the dog she was
handling was a puppy and did not cooperate. That was a bad experience for
her in spite of Evan and Lew having been so patient with her.
Aside from the dog not being right for a beginner she also lives in Page,
AZ where she is not exposed to any mentors or other Junior handlers. If
there is anyone who might live close to Page we would very much
appreciate giving this young lady a hand. She deserves it and will be a
great handler some day - just as Evan has predicted. Her name is Veronica
