You are correct Christine, I had to wait it out at home...not fun, well a
little fun ,lol
The judges have to make the decision, I would have them take awhile , even
if it meant in your words "redundancy" than to give the impression of glibness,
and "lets just get on with who I planned to pick from the get go". As an
exhibitor, and conditioner for others, I can assure you, I don't like to waste
time, but when it comes to this class, Specials, I would prefer to have felt
that "we got to play" regardless of the outcome. Particularly in a National
setting. People spend a long time and a lot of money to have their dogs seen
there.
Ken WAS showing in there, and I asked him about the length of time,
because at home or in the stands it is a different story than being IN THE
RING.
He felt very strongly that the judging procedure, and time was quite good
because of the depth of quality to be filtered and processed. So if it takes
a
while to do the MOST IMPORTANT CLASS OF THE SHOW, then so be it. I would
rather, then the microwave style of judging we have seen lately...60 seconds
and
DONE.
