Mike and I are so sad for Fran and the Ford family. Joan fought her cancer
in the same way she fought for Fran-Jo kennels for decades. She was a great
mentor to so many people, and she would have happily mentored other
newcomers had they only asked for advice. We have many Joan stories, but
right now is the time for us to pray for them. Remember listers, when anyone
is trashing somebody or someone's dog. There is a real person and a real dog
beneath the cyberspace of yacking. They have spouses, families, hearts and
minds and souls. At least today can we all think positive? Sheila Metz at
