Does anyone know if he has an article, video, or book out on training the show
dog to free stack. I watched him a few years ago....I think he was handling a
dog named Captain crunch or something like that…and I loved how he gets them to
step into their stack and free stack with him out in front (as opposed to
kneeling and stacking dog). I did have a chance to talk to him about my bitch
and he was very, very nice and gave me an honest opinion. I wish I had asked
him about the stack but I didn’t think of it…unfortunately. I know he is THE
MASTER and I don’t expect to look like that but I want to try to teach my
puppies to do that type of stack. I watched him throw treats to get attention
but I don’t know the early steps to build on to progress to the actual free
stack. If anyone has any old articles, videos, etc where he is explaining his
method that would be great!
Also, for those that show in both rings….I’m a bit stumped on conformation gait
training (out in front this time as opposed to side) for ring and teaching
puppies an obedience heel. I was thinking of using different collars and
different cue words. Would that work? Any other suggestions?
