Our temperament is getting a lot better and I think it's time that we either demand that the judges follow the test completely to the letter or face suspension from the AKC (and make this happen) or they do not do the test. Actually Kathleen and I often agree. We just try to keep it a secret. The issue of temperament is an interesting on. Most of the people who judge, including me, and who know this breed, know what the temperament is on the dogs in the ring, with or without the loose lead test. It takes little more than a look at the dogs and a look in their eyes. But, the test as required is not a problem, the problem is that the message we are sending by demanding it, is causing trouble for our breed. I anticipate our board will solve what is becoming a problem.
