It doesn't matter how sharp the arrow, it's the skill of the Indian that'll do you in!...how many wins in our sport are solely due to the skill, or reputation of the handler?....I read on this list last week that a lister was worried about trying to get a handler to show her dog...this is a handler controlled sport.....I think handlers have too much influence over what happens in the judges' minds.......I believe a good dog with a bad handler should win over a bad dog with a good handler.....and maybe it happens....but if it does , it doesn't happen enough.......next week I'll be at a DOG show in Utah......with a dog you ask?.....I gotta better chance of winning the lotto....speaking of Utah...about 5 or so years ago a very famous handler won Best in Show three days in a row, and BOB at the specialty after one of the shows.....did the handler have the best dog each show.....well not in my opinion, but I was not judging....watch out for those Indians....Ed ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2008.
