[ SHOWGSD-L ] Issue with a "private " rescue

For the past 5 days, I have been playing e-mail games and phone games with a
person named Heather Hall in Iowa. She claimed to be with GS Rescue of Iowa
which is a sister rescue to the Mississippi Valley GSD Rescue. She claims to
have rescued a 2 1/2 yr old male I bred from a horrible multiple abuse case 2
weeks ago. She stated that the dog was in terrible condition and residing with
her. Calls to 11 vets in the area, Humane Societies and Animal Control offices
and the Sheriff's department, have all come up empty either knowing anything
about this or seeing this dog. I have been unable to contact the owner. The
rescues mentioned know nothing of this woman or of any current GSD abuse cases
in that area. The one address she gave me does not match up to the address of
the phone number I called. Nothing this woman has told me checks out anywhere.
This dog is unregistered purposely and I have contacted AKC to verify his name
or registration number is not listed. It is not. All of this is taking place
between Dubuque, Maquoketa and Clinton Iowa. If anyone knows this Heather Hall,
Brindi (Brandi) Good or Kathy "Tina" Benes, please e-mail me. If my dog is in
trouble, I want to know. If he isn't, I want to know what the ******* is going
on and what purpose this would serve anyone.
