[ SHOWGSD-L ] Insurance for Dog Bits.?

Ok, here I am an Insurance Broker (but I only deal with large commercial  
stuff)  and I am going to ask the list an insurance question...LOL
 
Does anyone know of a company that is selling a separate Dog Insurance  
$100,000 Limit?  I was asked this by a Farmers Agent...lol who's dog  
apparently 
bit someone, according to him he is a lab and he just grabbed like  they do and 
the kid yanked his arm back and left a scratch...
 
This poor dog is currently being held by Animal Control in San Diego and  the 
owner cannot pick it up until they show proof of Coverage for the dog.   I 
suggested he read his Homeowner's policy as I believe Farmers does not exclude  
coverage dogs.  In the meantime am hoping someone knows of another company  
that writes this specific type of policy.
