I will attest to this. My friend entered our poor Reno last year in Winnipeg
and Jill put him in the catalogue as REROOF!
Not Jill's fault and we still laugh about it...LOL

I'm a show secretary for our local GSD club in Canada (too many years, time
to retire). I can count on calling numerous people for information that is
either not there (is your dog a boy or girl dog?) or unreadable
registration numbers and birthdates, etc. Sometimes we just have to wing
it with what we might think is right, but we have to know what class a dog
should be entered in and what sex they are. Exhibitors SHOULD check the
catalogue on show day, and report any errors - typos or spelling mistakes,
yours or ours - and they will be corrected in the catalogue sent to the CKC
(don't know if the AKC accepts those corrections). And exhibitors,
please be kind and gracious when yelling at the show secretary about
catalogue errors, we are only unpaid volunteers working long hours to put
on a show for YOU, and we can usually produce the offending entry form to
point out the mess we have to decipher.
