I do admit to having a bad taste in my mouth due to some negative, and hurtful,
experiences I have had with Committee-persons and Board Members of the GSDCA in
the distant, and not-so-distant, past, but, I must give credit where credit is
due.
Our current president, Tish Walker (I warned her not to take this thankless
position) has been very supportive and helpful to me since she has taken
office. She has righted several wrongs and kept me in the club, to the chagrin
of some, I am quite sure. :-) :-) She is a regular Don Quixote!
Apparently it takes windmill-tilters to do the job of President!
Laura Gilbert, Committee-person, has been absolutely awesome in her eye to
detail, and dedication to recognizing, in a timely manner, members achievements
with their dogs.
I bring this up because, today, the mailman delivered a new GSDCA Recognition
of Achievement Certificate, congratulating Chuck, Tedi, and I on Harley's Grand
Championship. Little things like this help to make being a 34-year member of
the GSDCA worthwhile.
Thank you, Ladies. You are a couple of the true gems in our organization,and
there ARE several others, too. Thank you very much.
