I love specialty shows, but freely admit I rarely compete, (not because I can't.) I ADORE all-breed shows, one reason being that I get to see many top specimens of other breeds. (And I like to shop!) HOWEVER, I totally believe that a good GSD CAN compete in each venue. And if he/she is really smart, he/she can compete in performance events too. This day has taught me that there still is an unfortunate schism between what is perceived as a "specialty" dog and what is perceived as an "all breed" dog. I went on-line to get a paper subscription to the Canine Chronicle. The best deal is 2 years--I went for that. Thanks, Paula for mentioning it! Good night, sleep tight.
