Since I just learned that this is not a Newbie I would say that there is a
communication problem here.
Instruct anyone that calls a judge prior to the election to address it as
.... we will be holding an election for judges. I would like to nominate you
for the slate. Would you be available if elected? the date of the assignment
in question is .....
Then make it clear to the membership that a designated person will contact
the elected judge. There are many times when you have a slate and the first
three are not available.

Is there a procedure in place?
Is this person a newbie who is clueless about the procedure?
Is the person merely asking if the judge is available and the judges
are assuming they are inquiring because they are representing the
club?
You need to speak calmly with the person, with out being
accusatory and find out why they contaacted the judges. It could
be innocent. let's not ask for a judge who is not available. Or it
could be something else.
before deciding what to do, assess the situation through proper
channels. Have the person in charge of judges selection speak
with the person. You could even thank them for trying to help but
explain that things are not done in this manner.
