The chance of being killed by a dog...1 in 18,000,000
Fewer than 1 in 1000 dog bites cause serious injury.
Fewer than 1 in 10 dog bites are considered significant to receive any
attention at all.
Horses cause 10 times as many fatalities per animal as dogs.
A child is far more likely to die by choking on a balloon or falling off a
swing than being bitten by a dog.
