Besides to me a dog isn't old at 8, although I have seen some dogs that
look
ancient at 4.

My old "Granny" will be 13 in January and doesn't have a gray hair. She has
maintained her beautiful thick, red coat. Every day she gives the puppy a
run for the money chasing the ball up the hill. However, as soon as she eats
her evening meal, you can find her sacked out on her bed for the night...old
folks retire early in the evening!
