[ SHOWGSD-L ] Help - dog with SIBO needs to gain weight

Kelly will be 11 on January 12. He was diagnosed with SIBO earlier this year.
He's had a few fare-ups and ended up in the hospital, the last time was Sunday
night. He's lost a lot of weight - he's gone from 75 lbs down to 63 lbs (he
was 65 lbs in July) this past year.
In September a year ago, he bloated and lost his spleen and 1/3 of his stomach.
He can only eat Eukanuba Low Residue - nothing else - no added oils - no added
meats - nothing. Can anyone think of anyway I can add weight on him. He eats
4 cups of the LR a day and I will be increasing it to 5 cups (2-1/2 cups twice
a day). I hesitate to give him any more because of the stomach surgery???
What about 2 cups 3 times a day - does anyone think that would be too much for
2/3 of a stomach???
Just so you know, they tested for EIP at the same time they tested for SIBO.
The EPI test came back normal.
