Gary points out an important issue.
 
Nominated by the committee or on the slate by petition makes no  
difference.  They should be looked at with equal consideration.
 
On the committee four people set forth a slate and the chairman only votes  
in case of a tie.
 
On a petition that name has to be provided by 50 members.
 
There is an advantage of being listed by our board as those names come out  
earlier, and there is an advantage of being petitioned by 50 members.  I  
had suggested that the names from the committee for all positions not be  
announced until the entire slate was ready. That idea was voted down.
 
Then it is up to us, the little people, to decide who we want to elect.  
That decision should be made on a personal opinion, the past history of the  
candidate, the knowledge of who will do the best job, and in the end, who we  
want to elect.
 
It is up to us to vote. Only by your vote can to decide who to elect.   It 
is important to do so.
