Subject: [ SHOWGSD-L ] Happy 12th Birthday to my 'Fonzi' Dog
Just wanted to wish my RBIM Intl./Am./Can. Ch. Jomar's EagleRock JR Fonseca,
CHIC, HIC, TC, CGC, OFA H/E (aka 'Fonzi') a very happy 12th birthday this
past Thursday on June 24th. Fonzi was sired by Am. Ch./Sel. Can. Ch.
Jomar's Rocky Mountain High (Ch. Highflyer son) out of the beautiful
Fonseca's Just in Case Woodside (Ch. Woodside's Kennedy Echolane daughter).
By date of testing (although not yet a formal program), he was the first GSD
to meet all the CHIC requirements and was finished to 3 championships by
the time he was 2 years old - Fonzi would like to thank Tobi Bisson of
Sharobi Shepherds for handling him to one of his majors; Kent Boyles for
showing him to his RBIM; and his mom (me) for doing the owner-handler thing
for everything else.
It's hard to believe that 12 years has flown by so fast; seems like just
yesterday when he was that big silly, goofy puppy with the huge feet.
Actually he still is, just a bit older and slower now but still bright and
alert and willing to do whatever it takes to 'get that cookie'! LOL Now
I realize why his breeder nicknamed him 'Hoover' in the beginning and why I
had so much trouble trying to keep the weight off him during his show
career!
So here's to you, my big boy! You've made it to the 13-Club! You are
(and always will be) my 'heart' dog - you've been the love of my life these
past 12 years and I pray for many more sunny days with you in the months to
come.
