Die Grossmutter was at the computer.
“What are you doing, Grossmutter,” I inquired.
The answer was in English, not Deutsch.
“Googling”, she responded. “I am Googling, Liebchen.”
“And what has you interested in ‘Googling’”, I asked, very curious about this
new past time.
“I am ‘Goggling’ for the German Shepherd Dog Club of America. I have been
reading the web site for 6 hours. There is so much info here for people to
read. The have 500 active articles, everything current and a store like an
Amazon for people who love German Shepherd Hunds.”
“Warum nicht”...... Why not, I thought to myself?
She said the site had many items and pictures and information and more than
40,000 visitors per month.
“And how do you know that, Grossmutter?” I wondered.
She replied: “ I know somebody who knows somebody, who knows somebody, who
knows somebody else and they told me.”
I couldn’t argue with that, I can tell you.
“The website reaches many volk, German and American and everyone on the planet
with a computer. And it is hard work, taking much time, many hours and serious
effort. It is quite complex. This excellent web site is a great open window for
anyone who wants to see and learn about our beloved breed and our organization.”
I left the house to play with the puppies, whilst Die Grossmutter stayed at the
computer.
Die Grossmutter knew more about the GSDCA website than I did..... and she knew
how important it is.
