Ginger, I understand your thinking about California, the apathy for the
prior legislation RECENTLY has been apalling. In the early '90s there was
strong groups and were putting out fires all over the state and in the state
houses. That group is 15 or so years older, wise and experienced, but need
fresh support.
HOWEVER!
Give up on California, and you might as well give up the the nation. Much
of the money and energy of the Aristas (and I will use that word!) is headed
to California right now, and if they win more here, guess where they are
headed next???? Giving up is EXACTLY what L.A. County residents did (I
hadn't moved back here yet :-{ ) and guess where the money and energy went
next? Santa Cruz county, Riverside County, the STATE, with this little side
trip to San Bernardino city, sneaking it in,because we were busy looking
elsewhere.
Give up on California? Better not, or give up on your dogs.
