Dear List Members,

There is one room at the MainStay that was being held for a person who 
booked a room elsewhere.  I will be happy to switch that room over to 
whomever contacts me first.

Due to circumstances beyond our control*, we have lost the remainder of 
our block at the MainStay.  Comfort Suites, 140 Cusick Road, Alcoa, TN 
37701, 865-984-9840 has agreed to provide rooms for us at our 
agreed-up-rate and conditions at the MainStay.  Specifically, the rate 
is $70 per night with a one-time pet fee of $25.  Make your reservations 
before April 23, and mention the German Shepherd dog show to get these 
rates.

Please note: this property ordinarily does NOT allow dogs in the rooms, 
but they have agreed to do so based on our good reputation.  PLEASE put 
do plastic under crates, do not bathe dogs in the rooms, and do be super 
conscientious about picking up after your dogs.

*About the MainStay: The U.S. Marine Corps decided to extend their use 
of a large block of rooms that they are using to house servicemembers 
recently returned from Afghanistan.  Understandably, this does take 
priority over our dog show.
