[ SHOWGSD-L ] GSDCA committees?

Why isn't RALEE-F non-profit? Is it legal, under IRS codes, for the
GSDCA,
a non-profit, to sponsor for-profit committees/organizations? Are
there
other GSDCA committees/organizations that are for-profit? Where do the
profits go???
Well, the GSDCA sponsors a show committee each year that makes a
profit. I don't see why this would be an issue or a problem. As a
member of the RALEEF committee I raised $500 at the NE Futurity weekend
to support RALEEF activities on behalf of the parent club. Those monies
were handed directly to Bill Pfieffer and deposited into a GSDCA
account. I don't believe the money has been spent for anything as of
yet, but I do think some would like to raise enough money to hire a
lobbyist to help with anti-dog legislative issues.
