Excellent points Ileana!...and I just got through reading the suit against this 
club....if half of what I read is true....shame on those involved!...and we're 
in trouble!.....this next election will determine if I save 66 bucks in JAN.  
I don't show dogs anymore anyway...Ed Hill

I thank Tish for the update, and as a member appreciate the  transparency. 
  
After reading the letter from President Tish to the membership regarding   
the club finances, a few questions come to mind........and this is before my   
second cup of coffee  <G> 
  
1- Why is there still any kind of delay from the previous treasurer to turn 
 over all records to our current treasurer?  This is unacceptable and 
should  be grounds for disciplinary actions. 
  
2- How on earth could there be an extra bill of $40,000+  at the OH   
national?  What items is the club being billed for and how on earth did 
 these 
necessities were not included in the contract? 
  
3-Shouldn't the victory dinner and Headquarter expenses be  part of the 
National expenses?  I mean, there will be people celebrating  every 
year....right? 
  
4-Where was the breakdown on communication regarding the donation from   
Purina for the futurities trophies?  I too was under the impression  that 
Purina was picking up the bill.   
  
5-Are we then expecting to have to pay for upcoming futurities  trophies? 
  
6-With all the regular expenses of the club and such a tight budget (and   
thank goodness the awareness is there now for budgeting) how are we going to   
deal with the expenses of hosting the 2013 festivities? 
  
I guess we are in deeper doo-doo than we thought. 
  
At regional level, more and more clubs are hurting financially, and more   
and more members and volunteers are tightening their belts and looking for 
ways  to reduce expenses.  Maybe the BOD should listen.
