[ SHOWGSD-L ] GSDC of Jackson

Thanks to the members of the Jackson club and all the exhibitors who showed
their quality animals under me for my first provisional assignment. The
hospitality was great, the handlers were polite as well as the owners whether
they won or lost. I was very impressed with the number of nice dogs and
bitches shown.
Now, interesting watching everyone checking their iphones and a small TV
watching the weather, actually Doppler radar while the storms raged mainly
around us. We had a touch of rain but lots of wind which my hair hated very
much. Interesting that only we Californians are not really afraid of
earthquakes but the threat of a tornado scared me alot. The damage done close
by
proved that. I left Jackson at 6 AM this morning and arrived home at 11:20
AM, yes, my husband showed up with the grandson in the car. I did read one
book on the way and another almost done on the way back. No puppies and the
grandson for a couple of days at least. Congratulations to the winners on
their 4 Pt. majors, I will let them brag but I will never forget them as
they are the first pointed animals of my new judging career. Special thanks to
Jim and Cyndi Flautt and Lee Brown for the great hospitality.
