Congratulations to all the winners yesterday on a beautiful, sunny, fall day in
New England. It was perfect weather for a dog show and while the entry was not
big, the quality of dogs shown was excellent. Our conformation judges were Bo
Vujovich and Evan Ginsburg and it was great to watch them work the dogs and
give everybody a chance to "wind down". Big congratulations to our club
members, Doris Farrell and husband Chuck, on two Winners Bitch wins, Sue
Lapinski for her BOS in the afternoon show under Evan and Ralph and Linda
Ciocci for their BP in the afternoon show. Big congratulations also to GCH
Fanucchi for his BOB in the morning show under Bo and to GCH Mira for her BOB
in the afternoon show.
We are pleased to report that our young dog, Masstana's Patent Pending earned a
RWD under Bo in the am and WD and BOW under Evan for 3 points (1 dog short of
4) in the pm. Big thanks to the judges and especially to George Berstler who
handled Patent perfectly. Patent now has 9 points with both majors shown very
selectively. Never the less he is growing up nicely since his 2nd place result
in last years 6 to 9 class at the US National.
In addition we were happy to see our Masstana's Next in Line win both Am Bred
bitch classes and go RWB in the afternoon. Again big thanks to George B for a
great handling job on her. Not to be left out was our co-owned puppy
Masstana's Que Sera Sera GsdStyle (Jenny) for going 2nd in the 6 to 9 puppy
class under Bo. The puppy that beat her went RWB so obviously Bo really liked
her. Additionally our pick puppy male out of our last litter (litter brother to
Jenny) won his 6 to 9 class and went BOP, first time in the ring. These
puppies are Patent's younger brother and sister and hopefully will continue to
grow into future champions. Without the slightest hint of "kennel blindness"
these two puppies are beautiful for sure.
Thanks for listening and best of luck to all the exhibitors at the National
especially to Jenny who is co-owned by the Roda's and will be in the 6 to 9
class in St Louis. Sorry to say we will miss the show this year but maybe next
year.
