White German Shepherd Dogs have always been accepted by the AKC, in
Obedience, and other working venues. They are not showable in conformation.
The White Shepherd Club has formed its own club, with its own shows. There
is nothing wrong with that. The shows are not AKC licensed,but it does not
matter to them. Yes, white is a disqualification in conformation, but it
wasn't always that way. There is an occasional white dog in a lot of the
old pedigrees.
The ad was run, no doubt, because it was for a legitimate event, and because
they were willing to pay for it.There is nothing unacceptable about it. The
Review is not only to promote breeding, but to promote the breed in all its
