why doesn't someone contact the GSDC of Alaska - perhaps they could do
something at their next show to honor Buddy and we could all chip in?

The Blanche Beisswenger Memorial Hero Dog Award that I chaired for 9
years was permanently retired last year,but the AKC still has a Hero Dog
program that you might investigate. One of the reasons that our Hero Dog
award
was retired was that we were in competition with the AKC and also some
Specialty Clubs had their own awards,. But I was pleased to chair it for
the nine
years to honor Blanche who dedicated her whole life to the GSDCA. Helen
