Brenda, That is SO cool!! I love domesticated birds!! I don't know ...can
turkey eggs be eaten like duck or chickens!? Do they lay eggs everyday like
ducks etc!?
When I was driving through Wyoming several years ago, there were a flock of
Wild turkeys AND 1 rabbit standing in the drive through of McDonald's I went
to. It was funny as the rabbit seemed to be "in charge" and ran with that
flock! Wyoming is so beautiful! I would have lived there if I was
prepared....instead of Alabama!!

If this bird was shot it is a shame. The turkey can be an awesome pet. We have
3 hen turkeys and a tom. They are the Royal Palm breed. Very beautiful, black
and white. Our male, Chief Tom, LOVES people. All my puppy buyers want to take
him home. He lets everyone hold him and pet him. Loves his head scratched, He
follows everyone to their cars when they leave. He roams free all day and if we
don't lock them up at night he sleeps on my patio at my bedroom door. He loves
my husband and comes running and I mean running when my husband calls him. We
have had him ever since he was day old. But then we make pets out of all our
animals. Turkeys are awesome birds and not as stupid as people are lead to
believe. To make this doggy ALL my dogs know Chief Tom is the boss. He really
struts his way around. My puppies love him and follow him all around the yard.
When my puppy buyers come out to see the puppies Tom is right there showing off
his babies. It is really a sight!
