I think the "What is an American" is a great article, but (as are so many
things on the internet), it's been misrepresented. It was NOT written by "An
Australian Dentist" or by "a Romanian journalist" (as sometimes claimed).
Most of it was written by Peter Ferrara, an associate professor of law at the
George Mason University School of Law in Northern Virginia. There have been
some additions and changes to the original article, but not too much. The
article "What is an American" was published originally in the National Review
on
25September2001.
