Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Just a little clarification: Adolph's meat tenderizer contains Papain, Derived from pineapples, it's an enzyme that breaks down proteins. Also called a protease. Viokase contains 3 components: protease to break down proteins, lipase to break down fats, and amylase to break down starches. So while Adolph's is great for tenderizing steaks, it can't help in breaking down starches or fats so it's not interchangeable with Viokase. I have no clue as to whether or not it breaks the poop eating habit! Lori Stewart...the other pharmacist on the list San Diego In a message dated 11/4/2006 7:42:18 P.M. Lots cheaper and does the same thing. ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2006.
