All of the coated dogs that I have bred (not bred for, but that darn
recessive gene!!!!) have had soft or silky coats even if the hair was not
abnormally long. In fact, that softness and a bit of extra hair around the
ears was sometimes the only things proving that they were coated. So what
does this revision change? A coated dog is still a fault because of the
coat texture, but the audience can't tell? Is that it? Or have some of
you had long coats with the correct texture?
