That presents a very sorry picture of some of the people on the board. I am
sure that it is not always easy to come to a decision about many problems. When
people do become afraid they should remove themselves from the situation. We
certainly don't want to have people frightened to make a decision. This is a
club with many members. Perhaps more people should volunteer for these
positions so that those who don't feel secure in their positions can gracefully
excuse themselves. We have to remember that we are all in this together, but
board members have to make decisions. We can send input to these board members
and perhaps help them to define their thoughts.
While teaching, I was president of the Teacher's Union for 5 years. I know that
you certainly can't make all of the people happy all of the time, or, of
course, at least make some of them happy some of the time. Maybe we shouldn't
attempt to. Decisions have to be made after looking at all of the facts. We, as
members often do not know all of the facts.
I back and appreciate the board members as they put their time and energy into
our club.
We should all be ready to help and support our representatives.

will, to be fair and unbiased, defend those who voted to allow the verypowerful
business man membership in the club. It was reported that hewould individually
sue those members of the board who voted againsthim. Some of the votes for him
were due to this. Those folks were rightwhere he wanted them ----scared out of
their wits.�
